The terms that apply to using this website and to Sleep Tight Security’s nightly patrol service.
By using this website or engaging Sleep Tight Security’s nightly patrol service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.
Sleep Tight Security provides nightly residential patrol using a marked patrol vehicle, covering an entire participating neighborhood — not individual streets — seven nights a week. Patrol service is a visible deterrent and observation service only. It is not a substitute for police, fire, or emergency services. In an emergency, always call 911 first.
Patrol service for a given neighborhood begins only once that neighborhood reaches its required minimum number of participating households, as set by Sleep Tight Security. No household is billed before patrol for their neighborhood becomes active.
We offer a flat monthly rate ($60 per household per month) or a flat yearly rate ($480 per household per year). Every household within a participating neighborhood pays the same rate. Billing begins only once your neighborhood’s patrol becomes active, and continues on a recurring basis until cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us. Cancelling stops future billing but does not, on its own, entitle you to a refund for the current or any prior billing period, except as set out below.
All fees paid for Sleep Tight Security patrol services are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
Nothing in these Terms limits, restricts, or waives any right or remedy a consumer is entitled to under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario) or other mandatory consumer protection laws applicable to the consumer. Where any provision of these Terms conflicts with a consumer’s statutory rights under that Act, the Act governs.
Except as required by law: no refunds, partial refunds, or credits are issued for any billing period once payment has been processed; cancelling stops future billing only, not past charges; and no refunds are issued for periods where patrol was reduced, paused, or unavailable due to circumstances outside our control (weather, vehicle maintenance, staffing, etc.).
Sleep Tight Security provides a visible patrol and observation service. We do not guarantee the prevention of crime, property damage, or loss, and we are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from criminal acts of third parties or events outside our reasonable control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to our service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us directly first — most issues can be resolved quickly this way. If we’re unable to resolve a dispute directly, either party may choose non-binding mediation before pursuing other options. Nothing in these Terms requires binding arbitration or waives your right to bring a claim in court or, where applicable, to participate in a class proceeding.
We may update these Terms or change details of our service, such as pricing for new customers, from time to time. Material changes affecting existing customers will be communicated to you, and you will have the option to accept the change or cancel your service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
